My approach is trauma-informed, child-centred, and informed by systemic family practice. Sessions are tailored to each individual and family’s needs.
Support offered may include:
individual sessions

Initial Consultation
2
An initial consultation may be offered to understand your needs, discuss support options, and ensure the service is appropriate.
This provides an opportunity to discuss:
concerns

family circumstances
expectations of support
A referral to another service may be recommended if another type of support would be more suitable.

Ending Support
Support can be ended by either party.
Where appropriate, planned endings are encouraged to allow time for reflection and closure.
Respectful Working Agreement
I understand that sometimes plans change.
Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, may be
charged at the full session fee.
Confidentiality is an important part of creating a safe and trusting space.
Information shared during sessions will remain private except where:
there is a concern about safety or risk of harm
there are safeguarding concerns
disclosure is required by law
Where children and young people are supported, confidentiality will be discussed in an age- appropriate way, including the boundaries of privacy and safeguarding.
The wellbeing and safety of children, young people, and families is my priority.
If I have concerns about a child, young person, or another person’s safety, I may need to share relevant information with appropriate safeguarding professionals.
Where possible, this will be discussed with you.
Brief communication by email or agreed messaging may be used for:
appointment arrangements
practical questions
resources
Ongoing therapeutic support is provided within scheduled sessions.
For children and young people, parent/carer involvement may be an important part of support.
This may include:
parent consultations
progress discussions
guidance around supporting the child at home
The level of involvement will be discussed at the start of support.
My role is to provide emotional support, mentoring, and bereavement-focused guidance.
Sessions are not a substitute for:
emergency services
medical care
psychiatric assessment
crisis intervention
If urgent support is needed, appropriate services should be contacted.
I ask that clients and families:
communicate respectfully
attend sessions safely
maintain appropriate boundaries
engage openly with the support process
By booking a session, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.
For your brand, I would also add a separate Privacy Policy and Safeguarding Statement page — parents and schools will expect to see those.
I can also help you create:
1. a child-friendly version of boundaries/confidentiality (for children)
2. a client consent form
3. a safeguarding policy for your website (important for schools/referrals)
